Gordon graduated in civil engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1972 and is a professional engineer with more than 44 years of experience in port and coastal engineering. His tertiary qualifications include MSc (Eng) and MS degrees from the Universities of Witwatersrand and Oregon State University. Gordon was a founding partner of PRDW in 1992 and his experience covers design of port and coastal engineering facilities, particularly in coastal processes numerical modelling, sand bypass installations, dredging, beach improvement projects, breakwaters, marine pipelines and studies for nuclear power station safety assessments. Gordon is the Executive Chairman of the Board of PRDW Global and has the responsibility for oversight, strategy, financial and legal administration of the international group of companies.
Allan has over 30 years’ experience in port and coastal engineering projects since graduating in civil engineering from the University of Pretoria (UP) in 1982. He also holds a MEng from UP and PhD degree in coastal engineering from the University of Cape Town (UCT). Allan specialized in ports and harbour engineering with major projects including the new deep water of Port of Ngqura, the deepening and widening of the entrance of the Port of Durban and the execution of the national port masterplan study for all the commercial ports in South Africa. He has been involved as project director in a number of large port and marine engineering projects in South America and Africa and has more recently been involved as a technical advisor to the South African Government on the gas to power and small harbours. Allan is Chief Executive Officer of PRDW Africa and is responsible for the global operations and projects within Africa, Australia and the Middle East.
Javier is a Civil Engineer with more than 30 years professional experience and graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 1982. In 1987 he graduated with a MSc(Eng) degree in Maritime Civil Engineering from the University of Liverpool in the UK. Javier’s technical expertise relates to coastal, port and hydraulic engineering, including numerical and physical modelling, design of breakwaters, coastal defences, port structures, vessel motions, cooling water discharges and intakes. He has extensive experience as a project director in port and coastal multidisciplinary projects from early stage conceptual designs to basic and detailed designs, such as for expansion of ports of Antofagasta, Iquique, San Antonio and power plants at Tocopilla and Mejillones. Javier is Chief Executive Officer of PRDW Chile and has responsibility for the global operations and projects within Latin America, including PRDW Brazil.
Gregorio is a Civil Engineer who graduated from the University of Chile in 1973. He has more than 44 years professional experience in engineering. Gregorio’s technical capabilities range from structural analysis and design to the coordination of multidisciplinary port projects. Gregorio has specialist seismic design capabilities and extensive innovative design experience which have been successfully tested in recent earthquakes such as for the container jetty for the port of Coronel. Gregorio has led the most relevant port projects in Chile, several of them including material handling. Gregorio is one of four Global Directors of the PRDW Group and he provides strategic guidance and oversight globally as well as being responsible for major port structures, materials handling and project execution in Latin America, including PRDW Brazil.
