PRDW has designed import and export facilities for a wide range of minerals in the mining industry with direct loading and transshipment solutions.

PRDW provides a range of marine infrastructure solutions for the import and export of hydrocarbons including jetties, buoys and submarine pipelines.
WATER
PRDW has extensive experience in providing water intakes and outfalls for desalination and for cooling water in the power sector including nuclear facilities.
MARINE WORKS AND STUDIES
To support the development of our port infrastructure solutions, PRDW offers advanced numerical modelling in coastal engineering, metocean and hydrodynamic studies, sediment transport, navigation, vessel motions and seismic analysis.
MARINAS AND WATERFRONTS
PRDW has designed the marine aspects of many marinas and waterfronts for leisure and commercial purposes including the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

LNG Mejillones: Unloading jetty
Maritime civil works for two berths for LNG ships, one for a permanent FSRU in its first phase and the other for unloading LNG.

Pluspetrol Camisea: LPG offshore terminal
New marine facility for the shipment of gas and liquid products, located app. 3 km from the coastline.

Puerto Angamos: General cargo terminal
Green field port project for handling copper cathodes, containers and general cargo. The port includes of 4 berths, storage areas, traffic lanes, buildings and facilities.

St Helena Island: Rupert’s Bay permanent wharf
Wharf for handling cargo, complete with breakwater protection, passenger landing facilities, and slipway for rescue craft.

Seychelles: Eden Island marina development
Coastal engineering for the development of Eden Island in the Seychelles.

Victoria and Alfred Waterfront: Marine works infrastructure
Core marine engineering consultants to the professional team, in which capacity they have been involved with various projects in the waterfront.

Port of Durban: Harbour entrance widening and deepening
New entrance channel which allows for the safe access of all vessels up to an equivalent size of a 9,200 TEU container ship under most weather conditions.

Puerto San Antonio: Costanera terminal
Inland, offshore and land reclamation works for a new container terminal for the new “Costanera” port sites in San Antonio. The project comprises the design of a 700 m long pier, as well as modifications to the existing breakwater and to the existing sites 4 and 5.

PIEM Red Dragon: Sea water intake and outfall for cooling system
Detailed engineering of the Cooling Water Intake and Cooling Water Outfall systems for the new thermal power generation Units (6 & 7) as part of the expansion of Mejillones Power Plant. Each unit is designed to generate a gross electrical output of 375MW.

TGN: Mejillones bulk terminal
Unloading terminal (mainly coal) for attention ships Panamax of 80,000 DWT, and with a capacity of 6MTPA. The terminal consists of a jetty and a mechanized system.
