Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- 10 years’ experience in drafting heavy infrastructure e.g. ports, bridges, water retaining structures, etc.
- Relevant built environment drafting certificate or diploma
- Competency in:
- 2D drafting from concept to detailed engineering
- Working in coordinate space and being ability to transform data
- Processing raw survey data and generating contours
- Setting out and detailing civil services
- Calculating cut and fill volumes
- Reinforcing details and schedules
- Diagrams for study reports
- Drafting of pipelines, breakwaters, navigation
- Competency in the following software:
- AutoCAD2D, Civil 3D, 3Ds Max (Simflex), Excel, Revit
- Key responsibilities:
- Senior role within the Cape Town Design Office
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in planning and managing Design Office resources
and deliverables - Candidate must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in mentoring and growing the department
